What does the YOUR app offer?

YOUR app seamlessly integrates with Shopify, streaming up-to-date product content to your product pages.

1. All the content you need: You can add all content types such as product images, specifications, pros and cons, images, videos, reviews, and more.

2. Drag and drop builder: The app gives you the possibility to fully customize your product page with building blocks, each containing a different content type. All blocks can be organized according to your desired orders.

How to install and activate the YOUR app?

1. Install the app

Go to the Shopify app store and install the YOUR product content app. 

2. Connect with your store

Connect the YOUR product content app to your store after installing it in the Shopify app store.

3. Configure the product id

What are product identifiers?

The manifacturer of a product assigns unique product identifiers to each product. Unique product identifiers define the product you’re selling. They uniquely distinguish products you are selling. We use the product identifiers to match your product range to our product content. 

Select a product field

To obtain the correct product information from YOUR's database for the desired products on your webshop, it is necessary to select the right product field that YOUR should use to match the content to. Each product field contains a product identifier. The field options to select are sku, barcode or inventory_item_id. 

In short, it is important to know in what field your product identifier is located.  

As an example, we have selected the barcode as the product identifier. 

4. Click Save button

After selecting the right product identifier to match content to your desired products, click the button 'save'.

5. Go to the online store section

Click on Shopify logo to go to the online store environment. 

6. Click on the Theme customizer

Before enabling YOUR app in your webshop, you must first customize your theme. Click on the green button to go to the customizing environment.

7. Go to the product page

Now that you are ready to customize your Shopify theme, head over to the product page via the dropdown menu on top of the edit environment. Go the the product you wish to add content for.

8. Add content blocks

Now that the app is installed in your webshop, it is time to activate it on the product page. Follow these steps to customize the product page:

On the left menu, click on 'apps'.

1. A menu will appear, displaying all the content blocks.
2. Select the content blocks with the content types you want to add to your product pages
3. Customize the content by selecting a content block.
4. Adjust the content type using the menu that appeared on the right.
5. Save the page on the upper right. 

That's it! All your product pages are enriched with the content you just added to your webshop.

Hide & order content blocks

Product descriptions

To access the "Product description" content block and its corresponding options, follow these steps within the edit environment of your Online Store:

1. Choose Title: This functionality allows you to either show or not show the title of the content block. Note that choosing whether the title of the description itself can not be hidden.
2. Amount of lines: This refers to the maximum amount of lines to show on load. Exceeding lines are visible by clicking a button that uncollapse them.
3. Font size: Change font size of the description block.
4. Line height: Adjust the height of each line of text by typing the right number + "em"

Product specifications

To modify the visibility of the content block title on your product page, follow these steps within the edit environment of your Online Store:

1. Select block "Product description" in the left-menu of the product page.
2. The right menu appears to choose whether the title of the content block must show or not.
3. Click the box to activate the title "Specifications".
4. To deactivate the title of this content block, click the box again so that the box is not filled anymore. 

Product images

To modify the visibility of the content block title on your product page, follow these steps within the edit environment of your online store:

1. Select the block "Product images" on the left menu.
2. The right menu appears to choose whether the title of this block must show or not.
3. Click the box to activate the title "Images". 
4. To deactivate the title of this content block, click the box again so that the box is not filled anymore.

Product reviews

From the edit environment your Online Store, first navigate to the left-menu and select the "Product description" content block. The options below will appear in the right-menu. 

1. Show title: this functionality allows you to either show or not show the title of the content block.
2. Quantity per page: determine hero reviews are shown on the product page at once by entering a chosen number. 

Product reasons to buy

From the edit environment your Online Store, first navigate to the left-menu and select the "Product Reasons to buy" content block.

Select the block "Product Reasons to buy" on the left menu. The right menu appears to choose whether the title of this block must show or not. Click the box to activate the title "Reasons to buy".

Product Q&A's 

From the edit environment your Online Store, first navigate to the left-menu and select the "Product Q&As" content block. The options below will appear in the right-menu. 

1. Show title: this functionality allows you to either show or not show the title of the content block on the product page in your webshop.
2. Questions per page: indicate how many questions are loaded at once on the product page. 
3. Answers per page: Control the number of answers loaded simultaneously for each question on a product page by entering the right numbers. 
4. Color
   1. Star color: three options to choose a color for the reviews stars 
      1. Choose a color for the review stars by selecting a color from the color scheme. 
      2. Connect a dynamic source (click the icon next to the star color): consult this page to learn more about adding a metafield to your product page.
      3. Select a brand color from your Shopify color scheme. 
   2. Summary background: add the color you wish the background of the field with the summary on top to be. Add a 6-numbers color code in CSS, which looks like this: #FFFFFF
   3. Scores line background: add a custom color in CSS to give the review lines a color. 
   4. Scores line foreground: choose two colors to create a gradient line on top of the background line. See the video below to learn more. 

Product videos

From the edit environment your Online Store, first navigate to the left-menu and select the "Product Videos" content block. To hide or show the title of this content block on your product page, follow the steps below:

1. Select the block "Product Videos" on the left menu.
2. The menu on the right to choose whether the title of this block must show or not appears.
3. Click the box to activate the title "Videos". 
4. To deactivate the title of this content block, click the box again so that the box is not filled anymore. 

Product manuals

From the edit environment your Online Store, first navigate to the left-menu and select the "Product manuals" content block. To hide or show the title of this content block on your product page, follow the steps below:

1. Select the block "Product Manuals" on the left menu.
2. The menu on the right to choose whether the title of this block must show or not appears.
3. Click the box to activate the title "Manuals". 
4. To deactivate the title of this content block, click the box again so that the box is not filled anymore.
